The awarded Al‑Kamil 1 solar IPP project is a national key planned renewable‑energy project in Oman. It features a planned installed capacity of 500 MW, adopting an independent power plant development model with market‑oriented grid‑connected operation.

In accordance with the overall plan of Oman’s energy authority, the project is included in the 2027‑2029 commissioning list. It ranks among Oman’s core projects for advancing energy transition, reducing reliance on oil and gas, and raising the proportion of green power in recent years.
